We invite you to the IX International Symposium on Breastfeeding and Lactation titled “Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development,” which will take place on October 7 and 8, 2016, at the Laško Cultural Center. At the symposium, experiences and new findings in the field of breastfeeding and lactation will be actively exchanged alongside Slovenian and international speakers. A rich program has been prepared, which will, among other things, highlight the importance of breastfeeding in intensive care units, the introduction of complementary foods, the role of society in breastfeeding, and many other interesting topics. The symposium is intended for professionals from various fields who work with mothers in the perinatal period, especially healthcare workers.

Attendance at the professional meeting provides CERP points as well as licensing points for doctors (Medical Chamber of Slovenia) and nurses (Chamber of Nursing and Midwifery Services of Slovenia).
