This year, we touched on home births in a big way at the 3rd Student Midwifery Forum, which took place on May 31, 2016, at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana. As organizer Willma AK writes: “The purpose of International Home Birth Day is to inform people that birth is not a medical procedure and is not the exclusive domain of doctors. Birth is a natural event. It happens with support, not management.”
