From 1 – 7. Every year, World Breastfeeding Week takes place in August.<\/p>\n

In 2016, WABA launched a 15-year journey to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by linking each of these goals to breastfeeding. But we cannot achieve sustainable development without multi-stakeholder partnerships at all levels. <\/p>\n

In my opinion, the #WBW2017 message is very powerful:<\/p>\n

“World Breastfeeding Week 2017 highlights working together (collaboration) for the common good! This creates sustainable results that are greater than the sum of our individual efforts!”<\/strong><\/p>\n

#WBW2017 aims to bring together advocates and activists, policymakers and others to create new partnerships in order to gain political support, media attention, youth participation, and expand the circle of celebrities and other supporters.
\n– In WBW2016, they learned how protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding is crucial for sustainable development.
\n– They grouped the 17 goals into four thematic areas<\/em> that are interconnected and linked to breastfeeding. These four groups help define the work in the context of the set goals.
\n– WBW 2017 will provide a platform for long-term collaboration.<\/p>\n
